This approach is unlike the gum or the patches on a basis of not trying to give you nicotine, but rather trying to confuse or shut down the nicotine receptors in your body that are making you feel as though you have to smoke. Kill the need, kill the habit.
One of the benefits of using a route like this, would be that you don’t have to stop smoking. You can start taking this medication and keep smoking as you normally would. Then, as the medication begins to take effect, you will lose interest in lighting up entirely.
So what if you have tried these different methods and you just haven’t experienced the success that you have been hoping for? Well, than you might be among the small percentage of people that are going to find success to stop smoking by means of quitting “cold turkey.” This means cutting out everything. Throwing all of the cigarettes away, the lighters, and anything that might encourage you to keep smoking.
You can use any of these routes to stop smoking, as they are among the most widely used and overall most popular methods to do so worldwide. While there might be others, the success of any plan really rests in the attitude that you have going into it.
